What You’ll Walk Away With
A clear understanding of the major funnel types used in online business, what each one is designed to accomplish, and a confident decision about which funnel type to build first based on your specific income levers and current business stage.

L12M2.1

Different Goals Require Different Architectures

There is no single “correct” funnel. The right funnel architecture depends entirely on what you’re trying to accomplish — building an email list, selling a low-ticket product, filling a high-ticket calendar, or maximizing revenue from an existing customer base each requires a different sequence of steps and a different set of pages.

This module covers the six funnel types most relevant to the income levers built throughout this course — what each one accomplishes, what pages and steps it requires, and which of your existing levers it’s designed to monetize.

Type 1
Lead Generation Funnel
Foundation
Type 2
Tripwire Funnel
First automated sale
Type 3
Webinar/Workshop Funnel
Mid-to-high-ticket
Type 4
Application/Discovery Call Funnel
High-ticket
Type 5
Product Launch Funnel
Burst of sales
Type 6
Ascension Funnel
Max lifetime value ★

L12M2.2

Type 01

Lead Generation Funnel
Always build first

Goal

Convert cold traffic into email subscribers as efficiently as possible.

Structure
Traffic Source
→
Landing Page
→
Thank You Page
→
Welcome Sequence

This is the funnel you already built in Lever 6. It is the foundation every other funnel type builds on top of. If this funnel isn’t converting well, every downstream funnel suffers — this fills the top of every subsequent funnel with prospects.

Key metric
Cost per lead + landing page conversion rate
Connects to
Lever 6

L12M2.3

Type 02

Tripwire Funnel

Goal

Convert a new lead into a buyer immediately, using a low-priced offer presented right after opt-in — while attention and intent are at their peak.

Structure
Traffic Source
→
Landing Page
→
Tripwire Offer ($7–$27)
→
Thank You + Upsell
→
Welcome Sequence

Why this matters: The tripwire’s purpose is not primarily the revenue from the $7–$27 sale itself — it’s converting “subscriber” into “buyer” as early as possible. A subscriber who becomes a buyer on Day 0 is dramatically more likely to become a repeat buyer than one who never makes that first small purchase.

Key metric
Tripwire conversion rate
Benchmarks
2–5% typical · 8–10%+ excellent
Connects to
Lever 10 (lowest-ticket product)

Type 03

Webinar / Workshop Funnel

Goal

Build trust and demonstrate expertise at scale through a live or pre-recorded teaching event, then present a mid-to-high-ticket offer to an audience that has just experienced your teaching firsthand.

Structure
Traffic Source
→
Registration Page
→
Reminder Sequence
→
Webinar/Workshop
→
Offer Presentation
→
Sales Page
→
Follow-Up Sequence

A webinar compresses weeks of trust-building into a single 45–90 minute session — making this one of the most effective architectures for offers in the $200–$2,000 range. A pre-recorded “evergreen webinar” (EverWebinar or simple recorded video) allows this funnel to run continuously without you hosting live sessions repeatedly.

Registration-to-attendance rate
Typically 20–40%
Attendance-to-purchase rate
Typically 5–15%
Connects to
Lever 5 + Lever 9

Type 04

Application / Discovery Call Funnel

Goal

Filter interested prospects down to genuinely qualified candidates for a high-ticket offer, using a structured application process before any sales conversation occurs.

Structure
Traffic Source
→
Offer Overview Page
→
Application Form
→
Qualification Review
→
Discovery Call Booking
→
Discovery Call → Close

This is the funnel architecture for your Lever 5 high-ticket offers. Without a qualification filter, your calendar fills with unqualified prospects who waste your time. The application form does the qualification work before you ever speak to anyone — protecting your time for genuinely fit prospects.

Key metrics
Application-to-qualified + qualified-to-close
Connects to
Lever 5 (discovery call framework)

Type 05

Product Launch Funnel

Goal

Generate a concentrated burst of sales for a new digital product or course launch, using anticipation, social proof, and time-limited urgency.

Structure
Pre-Launch Teasers
→
Launch Announcement
→
Value + Social Proof
→
Objection Handling
→
Cart Close (deadline)

This is the funnel architecture covered in Lever 10, Module 7’s launch sequence — formalized with specific pages (often a dedicated launch page distinct from your evergreen sales page) and a defined start and end date.

Key metric
Total launch revenue
Urgency benchmark
30–50% of sales in final 48 hrs
Connects to
Lever 10 + Lever 9

Type 06

Ascension Funnel
Value ladder in motion

Goal

Maximize lifetime revenue from each customer by systematically presenting progressively higher-value offers after each purchase — turning the value ladder into an active, automated sequence rather than a passive concept.

Structure
Initial Purchase
→
Immediate Upsell
→
Post-Purchase Sequence
→
Ongoing Nurture → High-Ticket / Recurring

Why this matters most for long-term revenue: Acquiring a new customer is always more expensive than selling an existing customer something else. The ascension funnel ensures every customer relationship is actively guided toward its next natural step — rather than ending the moment a single purchase is complete.

Key metric
Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)
Connects to
All product + service levers (1, 5, 10, 11)

L12M2.7

Choosing Your First Funnel Build

Given the six types above, here is the recommended sequencing for most Hussle AI System students building their first deliberate funnel architecture.

Situation
You have a lead magnet but no other funnel components
→

Build the Lead Generation Funnel first (likely already built from Lever 6) — then add a Tripwire Funnel as your second build. This is the fastest path to your first automated sale.

Situation
You have a digital product that isn’t selling through a deliberate sequence
→

Build the Tripwire Funnel (if priced under $30) or formalize your existing promotion into a Product Launch Funnel (if priced higher).

Situation
You’re actively trying to book consulting or coaching calls
→

Build the Application/Discovery Call Funnel — this directly operationalizes the Lever 5 sales process into a scalable, hands-off qualification system.

Situation
You have 1,000+ engaged subscribers and a mid-to-high-ticket offer
→

Consider the Webinar/Workshop Funnel — this is the highest-converting architecture for offers in this price range once you have an audience large enough to fill attendance.

Once any of the above is functioning
→

Layer in the Ascension Funnel — this is not a replacement for the others but an overlay that maximizes revenue from everyone who has already entered any of your other funnels.
