What You’ll Walk Away With
A complete, live, end-to-end Tripwire Funnel — built step by step from traffic source through final offer — using the exact pages, copy frameworks, and technical configuration needed to convert a stranger into a buyer automatically.

L12M4.1

Why the Tripwire Funnel Is Your First Build

Of the six funnel types covered in Module 2, the Tripwire Funnel is the recommended first build for nearly every Hussle AI System student, for three specific reasons.

01

It requires components you have already built — a lead magnet (Lever 6) and at minimum one low-ticket digital product (Lever 10).

02

It produces the fastest possible feedback loop — you will know within days, not months, whether the funnel is converting.

03

It directly addresses the most common “leak” identified in Module 1: the gap between subscriber and buyer.

This module walks through the complete construction of this funnel, page by page, using your existing WordPress/Elementor/MailerLite stack.

The Landing Page

This page already exists if you completed Lever 6, Module 4. If building from scratch, here is the condensed process:

In Elementor

1.Create a new WordPress page, set template to “Elementor Canvas” — no header/footer eliminates navigation distractions
2.Build the page: headline stating the lead magnet’s specific benefit, 3–5 bullet points of what’s included, MailerLite opt-in form embed, no other links or navigation
3.Set the MailerLite form’s “after signup” redirect to your Tripwire Offer Page URL — this is the critical funnel-connecting step

Key difference from a standalone lead magnet setup: instead of redirecting to a simple thank-you page, the redirect goes directly to your tripwire offer — maintaining momentum from the opt-in decision straight into the purchase decision while interest is highest.

The Tripwire Offer Page ★

This page presents your low-ticket product immediately after opt-in — while the prospect’s attention and momentum are at their peak.

Headline

Acknowledges the action they just took and immediately introduces the special offer.

“Wait — Before You Go, Grab This At 80% Off (One-Time Offer)”

The Bridge

1–2 sentences connecting the free lead magnet they just signed up for to this paid offer.

“Since you’re clearly serious about [topic], I want to give you the chance to grab [tripwire product] — normally $27, but as a thank you for joining, you can get it for just $7 right now.”

What’s Included

Brief bullet points — 3–5 — describing the tripwire product’s contents and the specific outcome it produces. Specific, not vague.

The Offer Box

Clear price showing the discount from a credible regular price, a single “Yes, Add This To My Order” button, and a brief guarantee statement.

The Decline Option

A small, low-emphasis link beneath the main offer: “No thanks, just send me my free guide.”

This is important. Forcing a purchase decision with no visible way to decline creates frustration and damages trust. The visible decline option makes the page feel respectful rather than manipulative.

Payment and redirect logic

✓Use Stripe Payment Links (free, no coding) or Gumroad embedded checkout for payment processing
→If purchased → redirect to Thank You Page with the upsell (Page 3)
→If declined → redirect to a simple lead magnet delivery page (no upsell shown)

L12M4.5

The Thank You Page (With Upsell)

For buyers who purchased the tripwire offer, this page does double duty: confirms their purchase AND presents one additional, complementary upsell offer.

Confirmation

“Your order is confirmed! Check your email for access to [tripwire product].”

The Upsell Bridge

“Since you just grabbed [tripwire product], I want to show you something that pairs perfectly with it…”

The upsell should be a complementary product that extends or deepens the tripwire purchase. Template pack tripwire → related mini-course upsell. Single ebook tripwire → comprehensive toolkit bundle upsell.

Upsell pricing guidance

Upsells typically convert best when priced at 2–4× the tripwire price — high enough to be a meaningful additional sale, low enough to still feel like a natural next step rather than a major new decision.

Branching logic by buyer status

Buyers:See this full page with the upsell offer
Non-buyers:Simple thank-you page with no upsell — they have not yet demonstrated buyer intent, and presenting a bigger offer to someone who just declined a smaller one is poor sequencing

The Welcome Email Sequence Integration

The final funnel component is not a page — it’s the automation logic connecting the funnel to your existing email system.

Create two subscriber groups in MailerLite
Tripwire Buyer
Applied automatically when a tripwire purchase is detected — via Zapier connecting your payment processor to MailerLite
Lead Only
The default group for anyone who opted in but didn’t purchase
Branching welcome sequence logic

Tripwire Buyer sequence:

Email 1Deliver the lead magnet AND confirm the tripwire purchase delivery
Emails 2–7Same as your standard welcome sequence, but Email 4’s recommendation references their tripwire purchase directly — introducing your mid-ticket product to subscribers who have already demonstrated buyer behavior

Lead Only sequence:

Continue through your standard welcome sequence unmodified, with the tripwire offer naturally re-presented at a later point (e.g., Email 6’s toolkit roundup) for those who didn’t purchase initially.

Setting up the Zapier connection

Trigger: New purchase in Stripe/Gumroad
→ Action: Add tag “Tripwire Buyer” to subscriber in MailerLite (matched by email address)

This is the same automation-building skill from Lever 2, Module 4, applied specifically to funnel branching logic.

L12M4.7

Testing Your Complete Funnel

Before sending any real traffic, run through the entire funnel yourself using a test purchase.

Fix any breaks in this chain before sending real traffic. A funnel with even one broken link or misconfigured redirect loses prospects at exactly the point where they were most ready to convert.

Complete end-to-end test checklist

L12M4.8

Driving Traffic Into Your New Funnel

Once tested, this funnel becomes the default destination for cold traffic from every channel covered in Levers 4 and 6 — replacing a standalone lead magnet landing page wherever it was previously used.

Update these existing touchpoints to point to your new funnel’s landing page:

Social media link-in-bio
YouTube video descriptions
Guest post author bios
Any paid traffic campaigns

Monitor these metrics in your first 2 weeks:

Landing page opt-in rate

% of visitors who submit the opt-in form

Benchmark: 25–40%

Tripwire conversion rate

% of new leads who purchase the tripwire offer

Benchmark: 2–8%

Upsell take rate

% of tripwire buyers who also purchase the upsell

Benchmark: 10–30%

If your tripwire conversion rate is below 2%, revisit your offer page copy and pricing before assuming the funnel concept itself isn’t working. Most underperformance at this stage is a copy or offer-clarity problem, not a fundamental flaw in the funnel architecture.
