What You’ll Walk Away With
Active accounts on the core AI tools used throughout this course, a clear understanding of what each tool is best at, and a practical workflow for using them together as a team — not individually in isolation.
7.1
Your AI Toolkit Is Your Biggest Competitive Advantage
Every income lever in this course has an AI component. But most people make one of two mistakes with AI tools:
Mistake 1
Using one tool for everything
They discover ChatGPT and use it for literally every task, wondering why some results are mediocre. Different AI tools have different strengths. Using the right tool for the right task produces dramatically better output.
Mistake 2
Treating AI as a magic button
Expecting AI to do everything and produce perfect results with zero input. When it doesn’t, they conclude “AI doesn’t work.” AI is a multiplier, not a replacement. The quality of your input determines the quality of your output.
By the end of this module, you’ll know exactly which tool to reach for, when to reach for it, and how to get the best possible output from each one.
7.2
The Core Three: Your Primary AI Stack
You don’t need 15 AI tools. You need three that you know deeply.
Free Tier
GPT-4o — powerful, fast, and more than enough to start
Plus — $20/mo
Faster responses, image generation via DALL·E, priority access
Best at
→Brainstorming and idea generation — fast and prolific at generating options
→Writing first drafts — blog posts, emails, social captions, product descriptions
→Conversational iteration — great for back-and-forth refining of ideas
→Coding and technical tasks — WordPress troubleshooting, formulas, basic scripts
→Creating lists, outlines, and structured content
→Image generation (Plus only) — graphics, thumbnails, product mockups via DALL·E
When to use
When you need fast, broad output. When you’re brainstorming and want volume of ideas. When you need technical help. When you want to iterate quickly in a conversational format.
Free Tier
Claude (Free) — capable and available to all users
Pro — $20/mo
Longer context window, priority access, more usage
Best at
→Long-form writing — blog posts, course content, sales pages, email sequences
→Natural-sounding copy — less robotic, more human. If it needs to sound like a real person wrote it, Claude wins.
→Analyzing and editing documents — handles large volumes of text better than ChatGPT
→Maintaining consistent brand voice — better at holding your tone across long pieces
→Sensitive or complex topics — reasons more carefully through nuanced questions
When to use
When quality of writing matters more than speed. When you’re working on long-form content — course modules, sales pages, email sequences. When you need to analyze or edit an existing document. When you want output that sounds like a real person wrote it.
Free Tier
Canva Free — excellent free tier with access to many AI features
Pro — ~$15/mo ★ Best Value
Full AI suite, brand kit, premium templates, Background Remover
Best at
→Blog graphics, social media posts, and YouTube thumbnails
→Designing lead magnets — ebooks, checklists, toolkits, and PDF guides
→Digital product covers and mockups
→Social media content at scale — batch creation lets you produce multiple design variants in minutes
→Brand consistency — brand kit auto-applies your colors, fonts, and logo to every new design
→Text-to-image generation — custom AI images without needing Midjourney or DALL·E
When to use
Any time you need a visual asset. Blog graphics. Lead magnet designs. Social media posts. Product mockups. Presentation slides. Canva is your design department.
7.3
The Supporting Cast
Beyond the core three, these tools play specific roles in this course. You don’t need all of them immediately — but you’ll encounter them as you build different levers.
P
Real-time research with cited sources. Think of it as an AI-powered search engine that synthesizes information from across the web — with references you can verify. Use it when you need current, factual research, statistics, recent news, or competitor analysis. Better than Google for many research tasks.
G
Google’s AI tool. Strongest advantage: direct integration with Google Workspace — Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive. If you’re already in the Google ecosystem, Gemini is a useful addition. Less essential if you’re primarily using WordPress and a standalone email platform.
MJ
The highest quality AI image generator currently available. For truly stunning, photorealistic or artistic images — product covers, course graphics, premium content — Midjourney produces the best output. Accessed through Discord, which makes it slightly less beginner-friendly. Not essential to start — Canva AI and DALL·E cover most needs.
J
AI writing tool built specifically for marketing copy. Built-in templates for ads, landing pages, email subject lines, and social captions. More expensive than ChatGPT or Claude but very focused on marketing use cases. Worth considering once you’re actively producing high volumes of marketing content.
Z
Automation tools. Connect your apps and build workflows that run automatically — no coding required. Covered in depth in Lever 2 (AI Workflows). For now, just know they exist.

How to Write Prompts That Actually Work
The single biggest factor in the quality of your AI output is the quality of your prompt. Most people write lazy prompts and get lazy results — then blame the tool.
Here is the framework for writing prompts that consistently produce excellent output:
The RCTF Framework
R
Role
Tell the AI who it is. “You are an expert affiliate marketer with 10 years of experience writing SEO blog content…”
C
Context
Give it the background it needs. “I run hussledad.com, a site that helps US-based beginners build online income using AI. My audience is aged 25–45 with no prior experience…”
T
Task
Tell it exactly what you want it to produce. “Write a 1,500-word blog post titled ‘The 5 Best AI Tools for Affiliate Marketers in 2025’…”
F
Format
Specify how the output should be structured. “Use H2 headers for each tool, include a pros/cons section for each, write in a conversational American English tone.”
✗ Weak Prompt
“Write a blog post about affiliate marketing.”
✓ Strong Prompt
“You are an experienced affiliate marketer and SEO content writer. I run hussledad.com, a site for US-based beginners. Write a 1,200-word beginner-friendly blog post titled ‘How to Start Affiliate Marketing in 2025 With No Experience.’ Structure it with an intro, 5 actionable steps as H2 headers, and a conclusion. Use a conversational American English tone.”
The second prompt produces content you can actually use. The first produces generic filler.
Additional prompting tips
→
Be specific about length. “Write a 1,000-word article” gets better results than “write a long article.”
→
Give examples. “Write in the style of this paragraph: [paste example]” produces output that matches your voice.
→
Iterate, don’t start over. If the output isn’t right, give a follow-up: “Make this more conversational.” “Shorten this section.” “Add more examples.” You’re having a conversation, not placing a one-time order.
→
Ask for options. “Give me 5 different versions of this headline” is more useful than asking for one.
→
Assign constraints. “Write this without using the word ‘leverage'” or “Avoid bullet points — write in prose only.” Constraints often produce more creative output.
7.6
Setting Up Your Accounts
Before you move to the next module, get all three core tools set up and ready to use.
2.Click “Sign up” and create a free account with your email
3.Verify your email address
4.You’ll be on the free GPT-4o tier — this is enough to start
+Optionally upgrade to Plus ($20/mo) when you want faster responses and DALL·E image generation
2.Click “Sign up” and create a free account
3.Verify your email
4.You’re on the free tier — excellent for most tasks
+Upgrade to Pro ($20/mo) when you’re regularly hitting the free tier’s usage limits
2.Click “Sign up” — use your Google account for the fastest setup
3.Select “Personal” as your account type to start
4.Explore the template library — search for any format you need
+Upgrade to Pro (~$15/mo) when you’re ready for the full AI feature set and brand kit
Pro tip: Canva Pro is one of the best-value upgrades in this entire toolkit. The Background Remover alone is worth it. If you’re going to upgrade anything in your first month, make it Canva Pro.
7.7
Your First AI Exercise
Before you move on, do this exercise. It takes 10 minutes and immediately shows you the power of using the right tool for the right task.
In 10 minutes, you’ll use all three tools in their ideal roles — ChatGPT for brainstorming, Claude for structured content creation, Canva for visual design. That’s the workflow you’ll use throughout this entire course.
1
Open ChatGPT — Brainstorm
Type this prompt:
“Give me 10 blog post title ideas for a website that helps beginners make money online using AI tools. Make them SEO-friendly and specific, not generic.”
2
Pick the best title from the list
Choose the strongest title from ChatGPT’s output and copy it. This becomes your blog post for the next step.
3
Open Claude — Create the Outline
Type this prompt (paste your chosen title where indicated):
“You are an experienced SEO content writer. Write a detailed outline for a blog post titled [paste your chosen title]. Include an intro, 5–7 H2 sections with brief descriptions of what each section covers, and a conclusion. My audience is US-based beginners with no prior online business experience.”
4
Open Canva — Design the Header
Search for “Blog Post Header” in Canva’s template search. Pick a template, swap the text for your blog post title, and change the colors to match your brand. Done — you now have a header image ready to publish.
